Are you experiencing feelings of agitation? Overwhelm? Loneliness? Sadness? These may be signs of anxiety/depression. You are not alone, almost 20% of adults in the US experience anxiety. We have support for you.
Comprehensive Primary Care is excited to offer our Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program again this fall. MBCT is an evidence-based modality that has been clinically proven to be highly effective in improving anxiety and depression. This program is completely virtual and covered by most insurances. Sippora Lehrhaupt, MS PA-C will be leading the program, she is certified through Harvard Medical School.
The format is a virtual group visit that meets for 8 consecutive weeks via zoom and consists of 3 main portions: mindfulness practices, mindful movement exercises, and cognitive therapy exercises. Each session will last up to 90 minutes. An individual intake visit will take place prior to the group sessions to assess suitability to participate in the program.
If you are interested in participating
Please call the office at (301)869-9776 to set up an intake visit(televisit) with Ms. Lehrhaupt or email mindfulness@CPC-health.com and someone will contact you.
